Ask the Pastor Week 1 | Hosted by Ryan Kurovski
Week 1! We covered…
- In Matthew it goes through the lineage up to Jesus. But the lineage is through Joseph, who is not blood related to Jesus. How do Christians draw the connection from Abraham to Jesus with traditional lineage?
- How does one learn about the Bible without being overwhelmed at how to proceed with all the information? Devotions, being mentored, reading bible etc.
- What is the most reliable and accurate Bible translation?
- Should Matthew 18:11 Be in Bible translations? Why or why not?
- If I am a new believer, how do I start reading the Bible? How do I start praying?
- Luke 8 verses 5-8 is the parable or the sower. In verse 9 the disciples ask Jesus what the parable meant. Jesus’ explanation of why He speaks in parables was, so that, though seeing, they may not see: though hearing they may not understand. My questions are: 1. Why would Jesus not want everyone who hears His word to understand it? Why did the disciples have to ask the meaning of the parable, shouldn’t they have had ears to hear, without asking the meaning.
- Aside from the Bible, what other book has most influenced your life?
Heaven
- Will we see our pets in heaven?
- Do babies/small children go to heaven when they die? They haven’t had a chance to know Jesus or profess their love for him.
- Please explain what Isaiah 57:1&2 say to us about people who die early in life, or a person we consider a good person why did they have to die? Why couldn’t the bad person die instead? Does it have anything to do with “why” or is it a totally different interpretation.
- 21:4_6 says He will wipe away our tears and no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. If that’s the case, can our loved ones that are already there see us? If they could, wouldn’t they be sad?
