Ask the Pastor Week 3 | Hosted by Jeff Guthrie
Week 3, we covered…
Israel
- Help me make Biblical sense out of Israel and the Gaza strip conflict.
- What is our responsibility/ necessary steps for Israel? As a nation and personally?
- What should our response to Israel be?
Church History
- At what point did Christianity become followed by more Gentiles than Jews, when the original disciples were Jews? When did the Jews decide Jesus was not their Messiah and why?
- Why was the Reformation necessary?
- Putting Christ First: When we look back at church history, we see great examples of people who risked personal harm, and their family’s well-being to put Christ first in their lives; the Apostles, John Bunyan, and the Christians who hid the Jews from the German’s during World War II. It is easy for us to say, “put Christ first in your life” but it is harder to truly do. What does it look like in today’s world to put Christ first: ahead of family, friends, life style, and generally the “me first” attitude that is so prevalent in our country/world today? Please give specific examples.
Church
- What are the strengths and weaknesses of our church? How do we improve on our weaknesses?
- Can I be a Christian and not go to church?
- What do you think our church needs the most?
If Jesus could deliver a message to the American Church today, what do you think He would say?
End times/Jesus Return
- What is the difference between pre and post rapture and which do you believe will happen?
There is so much talk about Jesus coming back soon based on what’s been happening around the world, what’s your thoughts about this from a Biblical signs stand point?
